As one of the earliest members of the Stadia ecosystem, we have long valued our strong relationship with Lorin Hamlin and the innovation team at Under Armour. Beginning in 2021, we built on past collaborative discussions between Under Armour and Stadia to create a partnership that tapped into our strengths in researching and sourcing new technologies in the area of Recovery for education and comparison purposes with existing UA solutions. The project began with a “definition and discovery” phase, will move to sourcing of technologies and will culminate with Stadia working with selected early-stage companies to prepare, position and diligence them for Under Armour. We look forward to building on our relationship with Lorin and her team.
Since 2020, Stadia has partnered with MITRE to run a “lite” accelerator program designed to help them identify new technologies and innovations from the sports and esports space. Through their federally-funded R&D centers and public-private partnerships, MITRE works across government to tackle challenges to the safety, stability, and well-being of our nation. As a not-for-profit organization, MITRE works in the public interest across federal, state and local governments, as well as industry and academia. MITRE also has an independent research program that explores new and expanded uses of technologies to solve their sponsors’ problems.
Stadia and NTT Ltd. recently collaborated on a partnership to help the Japanese tech giant explore new areas of the Sports industry for their own innovation needs, including NFT’s, Cryptocurrency/Blockchain-enabled use cases, Sports OTT Streaming (for Broadcasters), Sports Betting/Gaming and Data Monetization Strategy. Leveraging Stadia’s network of experts, we ran a series of roundtables designed to give NTT’s leadership greater insight into new expansion opportunities. Our two firms are now exploring further partnership expansion in the coming year.
